Tom Glenn High School is designed with flexibility in mind to accommodate new district standards for improvement as well as supporting future changes to learning . The school encompasses a model based on small academic houses which facilitate small group learning and close community networking among students. Larger common areas such as the library and the cafeteria are centrally located to provide easy access for teachers to use these spaces in their curricula and to provide better circulation and flow for students during hall change hours. A separate building houses athletics and extra-curricular activities to cut energy costs and provide increased monitoring and safety for after-school programs.
