Pfluger is welcoming Rory Estes, AIA, as Managing Principal of our Austin office, bringing a familiar Central Texas perspective and 25 years of architectural experience to the team.
For Rory, some of the most meaningful work has come through relationships built over time. During 15 years focused on educational projects across Central Texas, he has worked with school districts through long-range planning, bond programs, design, construction, and the many decisions that happen in between. That experience has shaped an approach grounded in listening to clients, understanding their goals, and carrying those priorities through the life of a project.
His work spans districts and communities throughout the region. With Temple ISD, Rory’s experience includes multiple bond and master planning efforts, districtwide facility planning, and projects ranging from elementary schools and renovations to career and technical education, fine arts, athletics, and district administration. His work with Round Rock ISD includes the Cedar Ridge High School Auditorium, Stony Point High School Auditorium, C.D. Fulkes Middle School Replacement, and career and technical education renovations at Cedar Ridge High School.

That combination of design experience and long-term client relationships will be central to Rory’s role at Pfluger. As Managing Principal, he will lead our Austin office, work alongside our teams and clients, and help guide the continued growth of Pfluger’s work across Central Texas.

Rory’s work has also been recognized through the TASA/TASB Exhibit of School Architecture. Cedar Ridge High School Auditorium received a 2019 Stars of Distinction recognition for design and value, while Thornton Elementary School received 2020 Stars of Distinction recognition for value and sustainability.
A registered architect in Texas, Rory earned his Master of Architecture from Texas Tech University. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Association for Learning Environments.
