I spent most of my childhood in Wichita, KS, after my family moved there from Guadalajara when I was 7. Growing up, I wanted to be a chef—I’d invite friends and family to my “restaurant” and create little experiences for them. With that love of creativity and hospitality, it’s no surprise I ended up as an interior designer.

I earned my master’s degree in Interior Architecture and Industrial Design from Kansas State University. What drew me to this field was the way spaces can shape how we feel and connect. As a designer, I get to blend creativity with purpose and be part of a team that truly cares about the students, teachers, and communities we serve.

Outside of work, I enjoy watercolor painting, baking, hiking, and cycling. I also love birds—I’ve had two pet cockatiels for 18 years, and they’re some of the smartest, most interesting creatures I know. Lately, I’ve even gotten into bird watching!
