I grew up in Plano, Texas, but I’ve called Austin home since 1998. I’ve been in the interior design industry for over 15 years, but it was years of DIY projects with my dad—laying tile, rewiring outlets, even welding—that first sparked my curiosity about how things are designed and built.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Texas State, and eventually found my niche in designing educational spaces. What motivates me most is working directly with the communities we’re designing for. It’s meaningful to know that the spaces we help shape can have a lasting impact on students and educators.
My oldest son has a rare condition called Angelman Syndrome. His journey has pushed me to grow as an advocate for others with disabilities, and I’m passionate about serving that community. My fun picture combines both my love for books and my work as an advocate! Outside of work, I’m almost always reading (usually two or three books a week), playing board games with family, doing crafts, or refinishing furniture.
