I grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, where I discovered my love for architecture at an early age. I remember reading about ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome in our encyclopedias in the house. I would spend hours recreating historic structures on paper or with makeshift models. By second grade, I knew what an architect was and saw it as the perfect blend of creativity, history, and science.
I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture from Texas A&M University. What motivates me every day is the chance to learn something new and continue growing both personally and professionally. Outside of work, I enjoy drawing, painting, hiking, and playing sports. I also love spending time with my cat, Simba, who I adopted after he started as a feral outdoor cat at my parents’ home.
How do you hope your work will impact the experience of the people who interact with it?
I hope the impact of my work helps bring creativity and inclusivity into their everyday lives.
What’s one goal you want to achieve in the next 5 years?
Pass my exams and become a registered architect.
